Crafts roundup!

wooden puzzle for Arthur! Made at Bridgend with a lot of help and guidance as always :) Made from a halved log attached to a plank like a mini see-saw, with different sized wooden pieces cut from a tree branch that becoming the bits to balance the board. It's actually quite finicky and there's a lot of different combinations for the finished balanced board, can't wait to see Arthur's reaction to it//play with it with him

bottom of puzzle that I whittled a bit to even the rolling of the log (a bit unsuccessfully because it's still a bit lopsided lol, but the exposed layers of wood look cool at least :) )

puzzle without any wood pieces on top of it, orignally intended for it to be balances with nothing on it but this turned out to be nice because now you have to play with/interact with the rest of the pieces to balance it again

lino cut of hands carving :) first blockprint I did here that I was really excited about making. Hoping to make a series of these to document the movement of hands crafting. Inspired by a trip to Gal Gael a few weeks ago where I met someone who has been around the space since the very beginning. A spoon carver like I've never seen before and an overall jack of all trades/incredible crafter. Left there intent on making this print, and modeled it from Annabel's hands carving a spoon//gifted the print to her. Always feeling all the ways about hands holding and making things, and Annabel's hands hold and make so many incredible things, gratfeul I got to make this for her~~
